The Construction Consultants (TCC) has been appointed to a major new residential scheme in Birmingham city centre.
The multi-disciplined construction consultancy will support the delivery of The Crown Works, a major placemaking scheme of more than 200 apartments and penthouses in the city’s Gun Quarter.
GRAHAM is delivering the 138,000 sq ft scheme which will be arranged over four new buildings of four to eight storeys.
New apartments will offer panoramic views across Birmingham’s skyline, which will be accessible from a private residents’ roof terrace.
The scheme will include two ground floor retail units, flexible amenity space, a gymnasium, co-working area and private dining and concierge services.
The Crown Works will benefit from the addition of rooftop solar panelling and will target BREEAM ‘excellent’ and an EPC rating of B for the completed commercial units.
Co-founder and Director of TCC, Sandeep Singh Sunner, said that The Crown Works was one of the largest BTR schemes it has been appointed to since the business launched five years ago.
He said: “We are very pleased to be working with GRAHAM to deliver this landmark residential project in the heart of Birmingham city centre. The Crown Works will offer contemporary, high-spec accommodation, set around a raised courtyard. With a range of excellent amenities and offering stunning views, the scheme promises to bring added vitality to a historic district of the city.”
The Crown Works is being developed by Europa Capital with Xian Developments as development manager. Construction is expected to start in January 2022, with practical completion programmed for spring 2024.
