Multi-disciplined firm, The Construction Consultants (TCC) has overseen the interior refurbishment of a 19th-century hotel in the medieval grounds of Abingdon Abbey.
TCC spent eight weeks managing the renovation of the Grade II-listed Cosners House for the Science and Technology Facilities Council.
The Birmingham-based consultancy occupied the positions of project manager, principal designer, cost manager and employer’s agent and was involved in the project from its inception to completion.
Works included the full refurbishment of the main reception, 13 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and communal areas in the Orchard wing.
The renovation was undertaken by award-winning interior designers, Studio Fourteen Interiors Limited.
TCC and Studio Fourteen have since collaborated again on £1.5million refurbishment of residential units in Birmingham city centre for Singapore-based Equity Ventures Enterprises Limited.
A total of 46 flats were stripped out and re-fitted in the Charlotte Street development which now benefits from feature stairs and a light flooded atrium entrance hall.
Sandeep Singh Sunner, Co-founder and Director of TCC, said: “We were thrilled to have taken on such a unique project as the refurbishment of Abingdon Abbey and are satisfied with the high standard of the work delivered.”
Andrew Cramphorn, Project Director at Baxter Storey which operates the facility, said: “The team at TCC integrated well into Baxter Storey’s delivery team and our mutual client.”
